Truant Kids announces psychedelic indie pop single

Lawrence, September 02, 2022 Indie Pop duo, Truant Kids, announced today that their single Social Contract will be released on September 09, 2022. Like most of their music, Truant Kids experimented with their latest single. Social contract is described to be a psychedelic twist on indie pop.

After Walter Sunrise, a member of Truant Kids, was left with a short demo when a deal to help score a movie fell through, he decided to continue production and release it as a single. Social Contract is about not letting work or corporate life consume your nature and natural creative energy. Taking inspiration from songs like Time to Pretend and Kids by MGMT, Social Contract has a nostalgic feel to it.

Truant Kids describes this single as something for the people who are looking to regain their control over who they are if they have lost it or keep it if they still have it. Some of the key features of this song are the message and the big sound. Truant kids hopes to appeal to anyone with a heart whose looking for hope in the world.

The duo formed in late 2021, consisting of Walter Sunrise and Nile Rivers who bonded over various 60’s rock bands and skipping class to make music. What began as two kids messing around in the studio has turned into a mission to write music that connects with their listeners and shows that sometimes, you are not alone in what you are feeling.
